‘TED Schools Psychological Counselling and Guidance Services Implementation Guide’ has been prepared in the light of today’s social, cultural and economic developments and transformations, with an approach that supports and complements the personal development of students in addition to the teaching and management services in the school in order to develop students in every aspect.

At TED Schools, a developmental, preventive and protective PDR approach is essential for early intervention and especially for preventing problems from occurring. The acquisition of certain skills and experiences required for students to be successful at school and in life can only be possible through the implementation of comprehensive and developmental PDR activities such as individual recognition, information, assessment, monitoring and psychological counselling. The main purpose of the systematically planned counselling and psychological counselling services carried out in K12 is to provide students with the services they need in the developmental period in the best way possible.

Values are meaningful and constitutive elements of human personality and its social relations. With the Values Education activities implemented in our schools, it is aimed that our students become aware of values such as love, respect, honesty, tolerance, responsibility, and friendship, adopt them by producing new values, and display them with their behaviors.

In addition, classroom guidance activities, group guidance activities, and educational and vocational guidance activities, which should be organized for the individual and social development of students, are carried out under the organization and guidance of the PDR service by using measurement tools such as tests, inventories and questionnaires that measure students’ interests, abilities, achievements and other psychological characteristics. Counseling and guidance services are based on the principles of confidentiality, voluntariness, continuity, respect for individual rights, the worthiness of the individual, the autonomy of the individual, and cooperation with relevant persons.
