National and international programmes approved by the Ministry of National Education are implemented at TED Üsküdar College.

The Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is one of the most widely recognised certificates worldwide.
The Cambridge IGCSE programme is a problem-solving learning process involving recall of information, verbal skills. It integrates all vital educational skills, including teamwork and research skills. The acquisitions gained at the end of all these processes prepare the student for higher education programmes such as Cambridge As/A Level, Abitur, IB Diploma, Advanced International Certificate.
The IGCSE programme includes a core and extended curriculum that targets a wide range of subjects and different skill levels. The ‘Core Curriculum Programme’ is CORE (standard level) and the ‘Extended Programme’ is EXTENDED (advanced level). In the second semester of Grade 10, students take the exam appropriate to their level with the guidance of the course teacher.
Within the scope of the Canadian Education Agreement signed between the Turkish Education Association and the Government of Canada, all TED Schools students are entitled to participate in the intercultural student exchange programme, receive their equivalence and continue their education at TED Schools from the next grade level and receive a double diploma.
The programme aims to provide students, their families and host families with the opportunity to deepen understanding and respect for different cultures and to explore the realities of humanity, while providing students with a good command of English and the opportunity to study abroad.
Teaching at TED Schools is an organic process that is individualised according to the student, shaped in line with their needs, supported and monitored by teacher guidance and technology. It includes curricula created by differentiating process, product and content, and national and international values, scales and standards. The main purpose of IB programmes, which have universal validity, is to raise individuals with an international understanding. Monitoring and authorisation of the practices at the international level supports the self-evaluation process of the institution and the practices are constantly updated.
In addition to the diploma issued by the Ministry of National Education in our country, IBDP, which provides students with an internationally recognised diploma, is an adaptable programme that allows for changes according to the educational needs of the countries in which it is implemented, and is officially recognised by the Ministry of National Education.
In addition to academic achievements, IBDP aims to educate students as ‘world citizens’ who have developed self-discipline, acquired higher level thinking skills, adopted continuous learning as a way of life, are aware of their social responsibilities, recognise and understand different cultures. As a symbol of academic credibility and intellectual thought, students who participate in the IBDP are proudly accepted by the world’s elite universities and the best universities of our country.
Successful students who graduate from this comprehensive and intensive study programme are not only successful in the university entrance exams, but also receive scholarships and credits (course exemptions) at the best universities in Turkey and around the world according to their diploma degrees. The Turkish government does not allow students to apply to universities in Turkey with only a IB diploma. However, it is possible to apply and be accepted to universities abroad without taking the ÖSS.
The Advanced Placement (AP) Programme, also known as the Advanced Placement Programme, is a strong, comprehensive and hard-working programme that is implemented in the United States of America (USA) and has spread all over the world from there, aiming for excellence in education. Outside the USA, the AP Programme is implemented and recognised in more than 60 countries. .
The AP Programme provides students with the opportunity to take university-level courses in high school and to be exempt from these courses at university. Especially during the acceptance phase of students’ university applications abroad, the fact that a student has taken AP courses in high school and successfully passed the exams is accepted as an indication that he/she is ready for academic education.
Students who take AP courses and pass the exams are both more advantageous in the university application process than students who make standard applications and have the chance to be exempted from these courses when they start university. They can also study in double major programmes more easily.
