TED Üsküdar College is a member of TED Foundation (Turkish Education Association) which is established in 1928. TED Uskudar College is a K-12 school that provides preschool, primary school, middle, and high school education. TED Uskudar College High School has the prep year before the 9th grade and also is an IB DP Candidate School. IB DP is planned to be implemented at high school stage in 11th and 12th grades. As planned to be a May session school, IB DP is going to start in 11th grade and end in 12th grade. TED Uskudar College is an IB DP candidate school since 4th of January, 2024. What is IB DP?
The IB Diploma Program (DP) was founded in 1968 in Geneva, Switzerland, to give young people access to an international education that would help them better handle the complexity of our world and provide them the knowledge, abilities, and attitudes to take action to make it better.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB DP) is a challenging academic curriculum that prepares students for university and higher education. The Diploma Program is focused on developing students intellectually, emotionally physically and socially, not just for preparation for test-taking only. This program includes a focus on international-mindedness, compassion, and understanding intercultural differences. DP graduates have a respected, reliable and world-renowned academic preparation for higher education. Universities regularly cite DP students as the best-prepared ones.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program is a two-year international education program, that prepares students aged 16-19 for university education. DP is considered a holistic program that develops life-long learners and problem solvers. The program is designed to equip students with the basic academic skills needed for university study and their chosen profession area. Additionally, the program supports the development of the values and life skills needed to live a fulfilled and purposeful life.
